CEO & Founder
Zach is a die-hard Sacramento Kings fan; it was through many losing
seasons where he first learned the value of loyalty. He founded Thanx
in 2011 with the goal of helping merchants identify, reward and retain
their best customers / die-hard fans. Previously, Zach worked with retail
and tech giants at Bain and Company, where he focused on customer
satisfaction and retention. He received his MBA from Stanford and
shivered his way to a BA at Dartmouth.
Darren is a born-and-raised East-Coaster, currently enjoying the
West Coast life. He joined Thanx as employee and engineer #1 in 2011
and has enjoyed cultivating the codebase from its inception to what
it is now. Darren received his BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth.
Head of Product & Co-Founder
Aaron is a veteran of too many startups to keep track of anymore,
the most recent being Cloudera where he was employee #6. He focuses his
passion for data — and its potential to impact consumer behavior
— on the Thanx product. He chips in with some code and design
work here and there, much to the chagrin of the engineers and designers.
Davy spent ten years as a technical artist in the visual effects
industry before making the jump to startup life with Thanx in 2012.
While contributing throughout the stack, he focuses on and enjoys
Mark has worked with nearly two dozen early-stage startups,
establishing their brands and user experiences. Previously, he was
employee #8 at Fitbit, building their design team and overseeing the
design of the consumer experience from package to product. Mark also
freelanced for over ten years, working with every type of organization,
from record companies to biomedical to nonprofits.
Marc (with a C) is a Spaniard / Catalan guy that landed at Thanx in
October of 2012 after stints at big companies like Apple and HP.
The thing he likes the most about Thanx is developing through the
full stack and making an impact in the growth of the company.
Brian is an experienced Software-as-a-Service professional with a
focus in customer relationship management. He is a former sales
leader at Salesforce.com and has worked with some of the country’s
most respected companies – including Disney Parks and Resorts, Sony,
and BlueShield BlueCross – to improve their operational efficiency
Caroline joined Thanx after working with Blackboard Mobile and in
a variety of media production roles (including a brief stint as a PA
for “18 Kids and Counting”). She is an avid traveler, and spent
nearly 7 months in Southeast Asia upon graduating from Vassar College.
Now, Caroline loves directing her enthusiasm and energy towards
generating strong and successful relationships with our merchants.
